The Malta Feline Guardian Club excelled itself once again

The Malta Feline Guardian Club, MFGC, excelled itself once again with the resounding success of its 27th and 28th International Cat Show, held at the Phoenicia Hotel on the 27th of March. Cat lovers of all ages continuously streamed into the ballroom to admire feline beauty in the many forms. Persians, Exotics, British Long Hair, Sphinx, MaineCoons and the much loved Maltese Domestic cat were amongst the cats exhibited, to the delight of the visitors. The visitors paused by the cages and chatted enthusiastically with the owners and fell in love with cat after cat as they went from cage to cage. The funfair theme of the cat shows served to add to the festive atmosphere brought about by the enthusiastic public. Once again the large turnout from the public reflects their appreciation for the standards of the MFGC Cat Shows! The Club extended its thanks to the two esteemed WCF all breed judges, Mr Antonello Bardella from Italy and Mr Andeas Kretschmer-Kraiczek from Germany. Both Judges were most vocal in their praise for the Show. They commented on the high calibre of the show, a standard which is now synonymous with Cat Shows presented by MFGC. They further stated that each participating cat was of high standard, exceptional beauty and perfect in its own way, thus rendering their role as judges most arduous. The top honours went to a Himalayan Blue Tortie Tabby Point, Chrysoberyl Eyes Raissa. Ms Joanne Mifsud Micallef, her owner proudly presented her cat to the applauding public as she received a multitude of awards for her adorable feline which included Best of Best Adult and General Best Cat.
