Upcoming 72nd & 73rd International Cat Show

Happy New Year 2018 to all Cat Lovers! The MFGC is holding another International Cat Show and the first for this year. “The February sunshine steeps your boughs and tints the buds and swells the leaves within.” — William C. Bryant.

The forthcoming 72nd & 73rd International Cat Shows are held by the Malta Feline Guardians Club (MFGC) at The Laguna, SmartCity Malta on;
Saturday 3rd February 2018, and
Sunday 4th February 2018.

A diverse range of breeds will be taking part in these 2 day show which include: Bengals, British Shorthairs, Burmese, Devon Rex, Exotics, Himalayans, Maine coons, Persians, Ragdolls, Scottish Folds, Siberians, Siamese, Sphynx, and last but not least household cats which will also be taking part in this beauty contest show.

For these International Cat Show , the MFGC invited WCF all breed judges;
Inga Balchiuniene from Lithuania, and Stefania Sironi from Italy, who will be judging these Beauty Contest Shows together.

Taking part in these two show days, will be having all types of ages like baby kittens, kittens, adults, spayed together with domestic cats which are presented to WCF’s All Breed International Judges. Each judge will issue a report for each and every cat or kitten presented. Then the judges have to nominate the best kittens or cats for the Best in Show, which will finally lead to the General Best and Super General Best. Besides this, there will be WCF Rings; Adult Ring, Neuter Ring and Kitten Ring held on both days. There will also be Speciality Rings which will focus on the best features or abilities of the cat/kitten. These will amalgamated with Fun Rings and since during February we will be celebrating Carnival and Valentine’s day, the two Fun Rings will be dedicated to these events where costumes will be eligible to be worn by the cat and the owner. A fun way to be creative together with our lovable felines. The two Fun Rings Specials to be held are:- Carnival Crazy Candy and Valentine Hugs and Kisses.

Joining the Cat Show there is going to be a Rabbit Show, where various breeds of rabbit will be on exhibited, where members from the Malta Rabbit Club with their expertise will be able to give information about the care and upbringing of these rabbits. Children can join too where they can have the opportunity to pet these rabbits and learn how sweet they are. So, it is an experience to join these felines together with the rabbits where first-hand experience can be related, so that in an educational way one can learn and discover about the way of life of these fantastic pets.

Applications are open, so you are kindly requested to apply directly through Top Cat Deadline for the entries is not later than Wednesday, 21st January, 2018. All cats must have a registered pedigree with the club, along with all valid documents of the cat.
