The 43rd International Cat Show

The Malta Feline and Guardians Club (MFGC) 43rd International Cat Show took place on Saturday, 26th October 2013, at Tigne Point, Sliema.

Judge Cesare Ghisi, (AB,WCF) of Italy was absent due to health reasons, and all the cats were judged by the Italian Walter Baraldi (AB,WCF).

The Club would like to thank every participant for making the show a great success with a variety of exhibitors and would like to congratulate the winners: General Best for this show and Best of Best adult was won by CH. Master IT*Radiosa Del Falco D’Oro. Mittens owned by Patricia Galea Kent won Best Domestic Cat. The Micabliss Ghostbaster was awarded the Best of Best Kitten whilst PR. Agrodolce Apollo won the Best of Best Neutered Cat.

The Club invited foreign breeders from Europe and for this show a new breed, the Kurillian Bob – Tail was shown in our event. Other breeds such as the Mainecoon, Colourpoints, Persians, Exotics, Sphinx,
Ragdolls, Sacreed Birman and for the first time in Malta the British Short Hair were exhibited together with
Domestic Cats. The MFGC would like to thank all the sponsors that made the event possible. All the members where given gifts by Pet Nutrition, Vouchers for Pet Insurance from Allcare and a voucher from the Mediterraneo Marine Park.

Our Next Event
This year will end with the GRAND INTERNATIONAL CAT SHOW which will be organised in two days, on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th December, 2013, and will be held at Daniels Shopping Complex, Hamrun. Our cats will be judged by three foreign expert judges from South Africa and Italy.
During the next show we will be having the Master Ring. The cats who have were placed 1st and 2nd
in the Kitten, Adult and Neuter Rings during our past shows can participate in the Master Ring. The winner will have the title of MASTER before his name on his pedigree.

For the first time in Malta, those who won the Master title through the past years can participate in the DOUBLE MASTER RING. Many foreign breeders will have an opportunity to attend the show to gain these titles.
