The 74th and 75th International Cat Shows being held at Montekristo Estates which were part of the first PET EXPO 2018 held on the Islands were a great success. The WCF all breed judges; Mr. Andreas Kretschmer-Kraiczek from Germany and Ms. Alina Ignor from Bulgaria, did a well-deserved job in this Feline Beauty Contest by issuing
a report on each and every cat participating and also by nominating the best cats in show and eventually by choosing the General Best in Show on two days and eventually choosing the Supreme General Best in Show. Many Fun Shows were held together with the Rings which boosted the hopes for many of the exhibitors, and many were overwhelmed when holding the trophy as winners.
Congratulations to all the winners of both shows. They truly deserve the pleasure of winning, and well done to all the other exhibitors whilst wishing you best luck for the next show.
The General Best in Show on Saturday was won by:
Micabliss Nelson, a Black persian Long Hair Kitten owned by Anna Marie Delicata,
and on Sunday the winner was won by:
U-Burbon Space Cat- Black spotted bicolour Long Hair persian Adult owned by
Charles Tarago from Spain, which also won the Supreme General Best of both shows.
Special thanks goes to all the committee members, and helpers, management of Montekristo Estates and all the sponsors for being a collaborative team together so that the Cat Shows can be held on professional levels in all the aspects. The show was in a collaboration with Madgascar Id-Dinja tal-Annimali, the pet programme aired on TVM and TVM2.
The next show organised by the MFGC is going to be held in the 3rd week of July at Montekristo Estates, this time All breed judges from Russia are invited to judge the feline exhibited.
